Advika Jaiswal: The Little Heart healthy Story

Advika Jaiswal is the youngest of her family. She was born to Samdeep and Priya Jaiswal in Seelampur, Delhi. Her first year would have been full of joys, but Advika's parents were really worried when she was found to have a congenital defect in her heart, ASD, which is Moderate Atrial Septal Defect. According to the doctors, this child needs urgent intervention to correct the shunt, which is 13.4 mm from left to right. The estimated cost of her surgery has been Rs. 2.75 lakh.

Being the sole breadwinner of the family, salesman Samdeep could hardly save his daughter's life through the much-needed surgery. As a fund was not available for surgery, the Jaiswal family felt helpless, but deep inside them, it was their desire to give a healthy future to their daughter. Dr. Gaurav of Indraprastha Apollo Hospital, Jasola, referred them to the Child Heart Foundation.

The family of Advika is largely benefited due to the association of CHF with IRFC (Indian Railway Finance Corporation). She was enrolled under Hridaan Program and was hospitalized at Indraprastha Apollo Hospital for her device closure procedure. The doctors said that the procedure went well, and she went back home soon for the relief of the parents.

Now, little Advika is on the mend-her heart alright, her future full of promise. Her parents are thankful on the one hand to CHF and on the other, IRFC for shifting their household worries into hope and for being a source of good fortune for ensuring their daughter's happy and healthy life ahead.
