Pt. Bhimansh Gaddipati

A Family’s Fight for Their Son’s Health

Bhimansh Gaddipati, a lively one-year-old from Delhi, was born on May 9, 2023. His early days were clouded by a diagnosis of pulmonary atresia with a ventricular septal defect (VSD)—a severe heart condition requiring urgent medical intervention.

His parents, Avinash and Neetu, were devastated yet unwavering in their commitment to give Bhimansh the care he needed. Avinash, a labourer, and Neetu, who works in housekeeping, managed to gather INR 50,000 toward the treatment cost. But Bhimansh’s BT shunt procedure required INR 3.5 lakhs—an amount far beyond what the family could afford on their own. Referred by Dr. Deepa Azad, they reached out to the Child Heart Foundation, hoping for a lifeline.

On October 7, 2024, Bhimansh was admitted to the hospital, and the next day, he underwent the crucial surgery. With the Foundation’s support, Bhimansh’s surgery was a success, and he was discharged on October 12, his health and future secured.

Bhimansh’s journey reflects his family’s resilience and the kindness of those who supported them. His successful procedure has given him a new lease on life, filling his family’s hearts with gratitude and hope.
