Mohammad Hasan’s Second Chance at Life
Mohammad Hasan, a brave little boy born on February 16, 2024, is just over a year old. He lives in Delhi with his parents, Mohammad Salman and Aisha. His father, a cab driver, is the sole provider for the family. Hasan's early life was marked by a serious challenge: a complex congenital heart disease.
Hasan's medical journey began in 2024 when he underwent a major surgical procedure—the Right BD GLENN—a crucial step in treating his severe heart condition. Following this surgery, he remained on long-term follow-up and daily medication.
However, in late May 2025, the family's worries returned when Hasan developed facial swelling over 7-10 days. He was admitted for urgent evaluation, and doctors found a new complication: S/P GLENN-RPA NARROWING. This narrowing was a critical issue affecting the blood flow following his previous surgery.
To treat this, Hasan needed an immediate, high-risk procedure: SVC-RPA JUNCTION BALLOON DILATATION. Considering the complexity and financial circumstances of the family, the estimated cost of this procedure was ₹2,15,000. This was an impossible amount for his father to raise on his cab driver's salary.
The family was referred to the Child Heart Foundation (CHF) for urgent financial assistance. With the immediate and generous support of their dedicated CSR partner, CBRE, the funds were secured for Hasan’s procedure.
Hasan underwent the balloon dilatation procedure on June 3, 2025, and was discharged two days later. This crucial intervention successfully addressed the narrowing and stabilized his condition.
Today, Mohammad Hasan is home, on the path to recovery. His journey is a powerful testament to the life-saving impact of the collaboration between the Child Heart Foundation and CBRE. Their partnership ensures that no child's heart stops beating simply because their parents cannot afford the treatment. Because of this timely support, Hasan has been given another chance to live a healthy, thriving life.
