Support a Child

Divyaan

Only child of a family of six

Divyaan, a 10-month-old baby boy from Noida, is the only child of a family of six. Born through a normal vaginal delivery in a hospital, Divyaan began showing signs of pneumonia soon after birth and was admitted for nearly 20 days. During this time, doctors discovered he was suffering from a congenital heart defect (CHD).

His father, who works at a CA firm and earns around ₹15,000 per month, does his best to support the family. They live in their own home with access to basic facilities, but the financial burden of medical care quickly became overwhelming.

As Divyaan’s condition needed better care, the family shifted him to Gayatri Hospital. After a thorough examination, doctors advised surgery. However, due to financial constraints, the procedure was postponed. The family then approached AIIMS, but long waiting lists and minimal response led to further delays in treatment.

Determined to find help, the family reached Apollo Hospital, where they met Dr. Vikas Kohli. After a detailed evaluation, Dr. Kohli referred them to the Child Heart Foundation (CHF). The estimated cost of treatment was ₹3.75 lakhs. With timely support from CBRE and CHF, Divyaan's surgery was finally planned.

On 17th June 2025, he was admitted to Apollo Hospital. Under the expert care of Dr. Kohli, the surgery was a success. Divyaan is still under observation and is expected to be discharged by the day after tomorrow, bringing hope and relief to his grateful family.
