Why Screening Matters

Congenital heart disease is the most common birth defect, affecting approximately 1 in 100 newborns worldwide. Many heart defects are not immediately apparent at birth and may only manifest symptoms later in infancy or childhood. Early detection through screening allows for prompt medical evaluation, intervention, and necessary treatments, significantly improving outcomes for children with CHD.

What We Offer

  • Comprehensive Screening Services: Our program provides access to state-of-the-art screening technologies and skilled medical professionals who specialize in pediatric cardiology. We offer non-invasive tests such as echocardiograms (ultrasound of the heart) and pulse oximetry to assess heart function and oxygen levels.
  • Accessible and Affordable: We strive to make our screening program accessible to all families, regardless of financial circumstances. Through partnerships with healthcare providers and community organizations, we offer subsidized or free screenings to ensure that no child misses out on essential heart health assessments.
  • Expert Guidance and Support: Upon detection of a heart condition, our team of pediatric cardiologists and support staff provides personalized guidance and comprehensive care plans. We assist families in navigating the complexities of managing a child's heart health, offering emotional support, educational resources, and referrals to specialized treatment centers if needed.

Making an Impact

By advocating for universal screening and early intervention, we aim to reduce the impact of CHD on children's health and well-being. Our screening program not only identifies heart defects but also empowers families with knowledge and resources to make informed decisions about their child's care.
